Conti Clean A-H has demonstrated its ability to repel dirt even when conveying titanium dioxide. The highly adherent white coloring pigment turns a conventional black rubber conveyor belt white within a very short period of time, resulting in excessive deposits and caking in the entire conveying area. Nowadays the conveyors are "CLEAN". It is possible to use soft cleaning blades in place of aggressive scraper units (e.g. hard metal scrapers) for these applications also.

Belt surfaces are subjected to harsh conditions by the Dual System. With the Conti Clean A-H conveyor belt, it was possible to significantly improve the hygienic conditions in the manual sorting area. The glossy appearance of the belt is impaired only by white spots resulting from the repeated wetting of the belt surface with house paint. It was determined however that these paint spots could be removed with little effort. One of Europe's most modern conveyors for light packaging materials is located at Trienekens in Krefeld. The conveyor operator Franz W. Hahn has confirmed that it is possible to clean the Conti Clean A-H much more effectively.

The "soft" cleaning of the belt is vital !!!

Conti Clean A-H needs just a minimum cleaning impulse to obtain the desired degree of cleanliness. This is achieved with a soft blade of 45 - 50 Shore A rubber at a right angle to the edge of the belt or a cleaning brush. Without this "soft" cleaning of the belt, problems can arise. If there is no belt cleaning whatsoever, the resulting accumulations can be more or less severe, depending on the medium. If however existing "hard scrapers", such as hard metal scrapers or plastic segment scrapers, are left in the conveyor without being modified, the plastic coating can be destroyed prematurely by cuts from sharp-edged media (e.g. glass or granulated material from melting chambers). Therefore please always provide "soft" belt cleaning for Conti Clean A-H.

Used successfully as lining material for chutes

Conti Clean A-H has been used successfully as lining material for chutes in the sorting of cucumbers at the Kühne company. Conti Clean A-H lining in chutes prevents product jams due to sticking.

Optimal belt cleaning with residual product moisture of up to approx. 20%

Practice has shown that when a dry product is conveyed, product residue always remains on the belt. With residual product moisture of up to approximately 20%, the belt is kept absolutely clean by a rubber blade with a Shore A hardness of 45. In the case of greater product moisture, the belt can be cleaned using blades with a higher Shore hardness, e.g. rubber with 60 Shore A or polyurethane with 70 Shore A.
